We live and promote a culture of collective success

Our farmer members and employees contribute to the good standing and reputation of French agriculture in general, and our Co-operative in particular. Since it is a natural extension of our farms, our success depends on that of our farmer members. The support we offer them on a daily basis is designed to help their businesses succeed, and ranges from training to technical and economic advice, a dynamic co-operative life, generational succession, etc.

Health, safety, talent management and mobility are at the heart of our concerns. We are also committed to supporting the development of our employees’ skills for tomorrow.

IDÉ'AL: the training programme for our
600 elected members
of the Co-operative

Representing the regions and specialist skills of farmer members, the Co-operative’s 600 elected members are simultaneously essential and integral to our Co-operative model, because they provide a valuable channel for information and coordinating the Co-operative project at grass roots level in direct contact with our farmer members.

So we introduced the IDE’AL training programme to reflect the strong commitment of our Board of Directors to providing our elected members with all the information and expertise they need to fully adopt our Co-operative strategy, contribute to decision-making and provide an effective link between the Board and our farmer members.

Putting people at the very heart of our model

Within the framework of its human resources development policy, the Co-operative is committed to prioritising its short and medium-term actions: retaining and developing staff, attracting and integrating talent, with the ambition of continuing to promote internal mobility in all its forms.

Our 15 business families in 11 countries offer our employees many opportunities for development. The recently implemented digital recruitment solution (external and internal job exchange) allows easy and quick access.

We are very attentive to the renewal of generations and the integration of young people into the business world, and we have a proactive young talent policy.

Rolling out a business-wide safety culture

September is safety month at Agrial!

A large number of safety culture awareness workshop sessions are held throughout the month and right across our business sectors. Using techniques such as escape games, accident investigation, neuroscience-based training, simulations and quizzes, there is a workshop session to raise awareness of every risk to safety.

The aim of this month-long event is to get everyone thinking about potential accident risks in their daily lives, and adopt appropriate preventive actions.

Each year, a common day dedicated to disability

In October 2021, all our employees in France and abroad were made aware of disability through an awareness campaign and video testimonials from colleagues with Philippe Croizon, adventurer, sportsman and great witness, as guest of honour. His message? “A person with a disability is simply a person capable of doing things differently!

Our employees are now invited to carry out concrete actions in favour of disability: welcome, visit, conference, sports challenge, etc. All these initiatives will enable us to continue to act concretely in favour of welcoming and keeping people with disabilities in employment

Ethics and anti-corruption in the conduct of our business

Agrial’s Code of conduct brings together the Group’s ethical principles in terms of respect for human rights, the fight against corruption, competition law, the prevention of conflicts of interest, confidentiality, etc., as well as respect for the women and men of Agrial, its partners, suppliers, clients and consumers. It also includes the Co-operative’s commitments to the Earth and the environment.

Read our Code of conduct

Echoing its Code of conduct, Agrial calls on its partners and suppliers to share and apply its ethical principles. Thus, the Group has been deploying its Responsible Purchasing Charter to its main suppliers, excluding raw materials, since 2018

National and international procedures and certifications that support our commitments and credibility

Agrial joined the UN Global Compact – the world’s largest responsible business initiative – in 2018. So our commitments are shaped to ensure that we make an active contribution to achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Agrial’s Agricultural division is a certified training organisation. Awarded by Qualiopi, this recognition attests to the quality of the training courses intended for employees and given by the internal trainers of the Agricultural division, from safety at work and regulations to the handling of machinery. This is a continuous improvement approach, carried out jointly by the human resources and environmental department teams.
