All the farmer members of Agrial’s Apples FO are committed in 2020 either to organic farming or to the ‘Les Pomiculteurs Engagés’ (“Committed apple growers” specifications, through which the cider fruit farmer members ensure the preservation of biodiversity in their orchards.
To support them, the production technicians help them identify and implement practices that are favourable to pollinating insects and crop auxiliaries. Some twenty good practices are proposed to facilitate their presence, which also contributes to reducing the use of plant protection products.
In this spirit, our Beverage ivision is a partner of the Normandy League for the Protection of Birds and also participates in the preservation of living spaces for birds. The orchards are subject to annual observations in order to identify indigenous breeding species and migrants, which will make it possible to propose a set of actions favourable to the reception and preservation of this biodiversity from 2021.
