What will be your tasks in a few words?

JOB SUMMARY 

The Project Manager Engineer will oversee all aspects of sourcing, procuring, and implementing a bottling line and presses process for making apple juice, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints, technical specifications, and project objectives. This role involves working closely with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of both projects, from initial planning through equipment installation, startup, and operator training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Sourcing and Vendor Management
  1.  Identify potential vendors for the bottling line and presses process based on technical requirements and project needs.
  2. Conduct vendor assessments and negotiations to secure the most suitable solutions.
  3. Manage vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  •   Specification Definition:
  1. Work with stakeholders to define technical specifications for both the bottling line and presses process, including capacity, efficiency, and functionality requirements specific to processing apples.
  2. Document specifications and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  •  Budget Management:
  1. Develop and manage the project budgets for the bottling line and presses process, including forecasting and tracking expenses.
  2. Prepare purchase orders (POs) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Alignment with Project Objectives:
  1. Ensure that both the bottling line and presses process meet expected capabilities and deliver on project objectives, particularly in processing apples efficiently.
  2. Communicate project progress and potential impacts on project objectives to stakeholders.
  • Timeline Management:
  1. Develop and maintain project timelines for both the bottling line and presses process, identifying critical milestones and dependencies.
  2. Monitor progress against the timelines and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure timely project completion.
  • Equipment Installation and Startup:
  1. Coordinate with internal and/or external installation teams to ensure the successful setup of the bottling equipment and presses process machinery.
  2. Oversee the installation process, conducting site inspections and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
  3. Facilitate equipment startup and commissioning, ensuring that all systems are functioning as intended.
  • Operator Hiring and Training:
  1. Participate in the hiring process for operators for both the bottling line and presses process, as needed.
  2. Develop and deliver training programs for operators to ensure safe and efficient operation of the equipment, with a focus on processing apples.
  3. Provide ongoing support and guidance to operators as they become familiar with the equipment.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Knowledge
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project objectives.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Familiarity with bottling or packaging equipment and processes, as well as presses processes for making apple juice, is preferred
